Bike

A break by a lake, Bükk National Park, Hungary 2005 Travelling by bicycle is the perfect way to explore new places - fast enough to cover long distances but slow, quiet and flexible enough to experience places you would otherwise miss. Plus it keeps you healthy. I've cycled a few trips alone but usually ride with a friend or two - most often with Peter Furey who introduced me to bicycle touring. I'm always happy to answer any questions about the places i've been - contact me.

Along the Thai-Burmese border, followed by a north-south wander of Laos from 2002-2003:

"Disco Stu doesn't advertise"

Neither do I on this site, but I will shamelessly plug this cause. I've cycled across about 15 countries but more than 100 language regions. Most of these languages will not be spoken by the end of the century. If you travel by bicycle then you know that one of the best aspects is the variety of people and cultures you encounter along the way, and so I'm exploiting the traffic on this page to raise awareness:
